The Cost of an Inaccessible Early Childhood Education is "America's Darkest Future"

Lifeview Marketing has teamed up with the non-partisan and non-profit grass root organization, Virginia Organizing, to place a spotlight onto an issue plaguing our society, the inaccessibility of a quality early education. The documentary, America's Darkest Future's mission is simple, to discover the answer to the questions - "why isn't pre-K accessible to all American children and how do we turn it around?"
The issue of inaccessibility is not the only factor of disparity when it comes to the existing opportunity gap. The filmmaker also defines and illustrates what determines a quality pre-K program.
Community members have rallied to support this national project. From donations, film appearances, and/ serving on the advisory committee, these supporters realize the importance of this issue and are determined to change the outcome of an underserved community. Film appearances include, Robert Pianta, Early Education Scholar and Dean of the Curry School, University of Virginia - Juandiego Wade, Charlottesville City School Board Member - Shelia Pleasants, Executive Director of the Southside Child Development Center - Steven Dow, Executive Director of CapTulsa (Oklahoma) - Jacki Bryant, Executive Director of ReadyKids - Psychologists - Parents - Teachers and other contributors.

The backdrop is current day in New York City with a melting pot of characters, typically reflective of NY. No two personalities are the same and this is evident in the short film, Mingle. In this comedy, Tyler is overwhelmed from the pressure of his hypochondriac mother with the desire for him to find a girlfriend and have a baby. He goes out on a mission to find a relationship at a speed dating event but an unlikely person may be the prize.

Documentary Filmmaking is often used as a platform to move the needle on the dial of social issues, but also it is a platform often used to simply tell a story in the most direct way possible. From social issues, the life of a famous person, or any subject you can imagine. With the ease of entry into the filmmaking business, novice artists are using instruments such as cell phones to document storytelling. The ease of entry has provided inspiration for these stories to be told and this workshop will provide the necessary direction of how to do it the most effective and productive way with added production value.
The Art of Documentary Filmmaking Workshop will provide hands-on experience by which the participants will be have the camera placed into their hands, filming interviews, conducting intereviews, set up lighting, and working with audio (microphones).

For the 3rd Year, The Junior Edition of the BOBW Dance and Step Competition is returning to the campus of Piedmont Virginia Community College - V. Earl Dickinson Building. A spin off of one of the most popular dance and step shows on the east coast, the Junior Edition is for school age competitors - NO COLLEGE OR PROFESSIONAL TEAMS WITH MORE THAT ONE MEMBER OVER 19 years of age.
Teams have traveled from North Carolina, Maryland-D.C., and throughout Virginia to compete in this show. Cash and prizes $500-$750 will be awarded and the winner will receive automatic entry into the 13th Annual Best of Both Worlds Dance and Step Competition at the Paramount Theater on November 17th.
Cheer on your favorite team and prepare to also enter the audience dance off half-time entertainment for cash.

The owner and founder of Lifeview Marketing has promoted over 1000 events since founding an entertainment promotion company in 1993 as a college student. The initial purpose was to provide entertainment to the college audience serving as an outlet to release stress and have fun. Events such as College Weekend on the Slopes, College Reunion (Spring Break) in Daytona Beach and other destination locations received national recognition by major television networks. As the company rapidly expanded its geographical footprint, more services outside of the college market began to provide national exposure. As the original projects continued growing, the owner began writing stage plays, promoting concerts, serving as a booking agent for colleges and promoters, providing consultation for independent music artists, created a film festival, managed comedians, party djs and briefly managed Maxine Jones, formerly of EnVogue after her departure from the multi-million album selling group, providing branding services for city municipalities - non-profits - and for profit entities, and produced documentaries, tv commercials, and more. Currently, Lifeview Marketing is producing the documentary by Ty Cooper, America's Darkest Future. The company is expected to publish Cooper's manuscript in 2018, providing much insight into the world of marketing in the entertainment business. Over 23 years worth of jewels.
